Closet organizers are something everyone needs but few take advantage of. When it comes to cleaning out your closet and getting rid of clutter we tend to procrastinate and put it off till a later date. If your like me that's exactly your problem. The mentality that you will get to it one day. I decided that I had to take action and not let my disorganized closet get the best of me anymore. Closet organizers are the best way to handle your organization problem and there are many types to choose from. My favorite is a wood closet organizer. They are very functional and look beautiful at the same time. The only down side is they are expensive compared to other types such as wire or plastic.
Closet organizers come in a variety of sizes, styles and finishes. Wood closet organizers come with whatever finish you desire such as maple, mahogany, and cherry. The metal closet organizer is cheaper than wood and also allow many accessories like belt, tie, and shoe racks. You can specify if you want a walk in closet organizer or a reach in. It all depends on your closet size and space. Make sure you take in to consideration room for your expanding wardrobe. Closet space can be best utilized with closet systems otherwise you are wasting valuable room in your closet.
Companies like Rubbermaid and ClosetMaid offer do it yourself closet kits that allow you to design and install a system the way you want. If you are looking for cheap and easy then do it yourself is the way to go. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to put it up either. As long as you can use a drill, measuring tape and hammer you can have a closet system installed in a matter of hours.
Before you do any installation clean out your closet and get rid of items you no longer need or use. Donate them to organizations like Goodwill. Try having a yard sale and maybe make a little profit on them or you can always go the Ebay route.
Group like items together in a pile or storage bin so you can put them back into your new closet organizer with some sort of organization. This will help you achieve total closet organization.
